Data Collection Methodology

TWD aggregates and displays publicly available water testing data from official sources. Data is collected from:

• Annual and quarterly water quality reports published by municipalities
• Provincial health authority drinking water databases
• Publicly accessible water quality monitoring records
• Government environmental monitoring databases

Update Frequency

The database is updated as new water quality reports become available. Update frequency varies by city and depends on their testing schedules:

• Monthly: Some cities publish monthly water quality reports
• Quarterly: Many cities publish quarterly reports
• Annually: Some smaller municipalities publish annual reports

TWD currently displays data for major cities across Canada where publicly available water quality reports exist. The database continues to expand as more water quality reports become available.
